If you have not seen this and have a PS5, download it. Even if you don't like the movies, this is a great example of what the new Unreal engine can do and it is, well, nice............ The future of gaming looks as promising as I had hoped when I got the PS5.

Watched Eurogamer messing around with it earlier on - looks very impressive (engine wise).

I was thinking it'd be more impressive if they let me walk around and then they did!

It seems good, I was not blown away by the graphics (Series X) and so far as I'm aware this is just a technical showcase and not being developed into a game.

The gameplay itself was appalling.

It'll be interesting to have a poke at this once the assets are released along with UE5 - as I understand it the 'Matrix' parts won't be released but all the open world stuff isn't IP encumbered so will be available as as demo code to play with.

It's pretty impressive stuff, bit lacking in AI fine detail and stuff like that but Nanite and the other new engine bits look like fun. AI looked good for pattern of life with lots of active stuff over a wide area and retaining consistency but GTA V and others are better at being reactive and responsive.

Wonder if a VR build would work or not, some of these optimisations can really fight you when you're trying to render two or more consistent eyepoints.
