V8V clutch pedal not fully returning when driven hard

I've only had the car (2007 4.3) for two months, so still learning its foibles. I noticed early on that the clutch pedal has an initial inch or so of travel where it does nothing and then it starts to disengage the clutch. The first inch of pedal travel is obviously much softer than the rest, as I assume it's just taking up slack before it actually starts to operate the slave cylinder.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the clutch pedal doesn't always return all the way to the top of its travel straight away (the pedal sometimes rises slower than my foot, and I can get "tapped" by the pedal as it finally rises to its normal high position.
However, this ONLY happens just after it has been driven very hard (ie flat-out - high revs). It returns to normal very soon after gentler driving is resumed.
Last night, after a "comparison" with a Bentley Bentayga (damn, they're quick....), the clutch pedal actually stopped at the top of its engagement travel and didn't pop up the last inch or so. However, after a mile or so of gentle cruising, the pedal felt fine again and behaved normally.
NOTE - the clutch definitely doesn't slip - it was being given full beans and some pretty brutal gear changes, but was absolutely fine.
I'm hoping its something as simple as requiring a fluid bleed, but I would have thought that air in the system would affect it in all driving conditions.
Any thoughts?

Mmm... you could ask one of the specialists for advice, but I suspect any clutch inspection will cost a few quid.
The original clutch on my 2006 Vantage started giving me a stiff pedal from time to time and I thought nothing of it. No other signs of clutch wear or slipping. It had done 76k miles at that point on original clutch. Then i took it for MOT and on the way home, just 3 miles drive and the clutch pedal stuck completely about 1/2 mile from home, luckily I was in 3rd gear at the time and managed to get home onto the drive ok.
Next day had the car recovered by AA into local main dealer. The release bearing had worn and jammed. Needed a new clutch at that point, still it had done well to last so long.
