I'm unfortunately getting the following warning:

"Increased battery discharge when stationary. Electrical consumers were temporarily switched off" after starting the car; after its been sat on the drive for around 24 hours etc

Brand new Exide 95Ah AGM battery recently fitted and registered to the car

Car runs absolutely fine, zero issues and started fine when it was -5ºC & frozen hard here the other week

Could this anything to do with the IBS having issues; or is there something else I should be looking at?

Cheers

Been reading more into this...

I've fitted the battery & registered it with Carly. But I didn't fully charge it beforehand, so it's going onto the trickle charger tomorrow.

The cars parked very close to the house too and it could be that the car & key are communicating still, so I'll look to change key location

And yes, quite a lot of short runs done over the past few days with one run up the M65...

I had this on mine a few years ago and I disconnected the ibs from the battery and never had an issue. I read the car reverts back to normal charging but not 100% sure. I was on the lookout for another car at the time so I never bothered looking into replacing it. I had it another couple of months and never had an issue with it like that.

What bmw is it? I had this on my 530 due to water ingress in the boot causing electric issues

I had a similar issue last winter. I thought my trips were long enough to give the battery a good charge but it seems that having the heated seats on etc, they weren’t. As you have found, a good charge sorted it.
