Good morning
My TVR Chimaera 4.5lt (year 2000) has an immobiliser issue.
The car battery is fully charged but the immobiliser seems to be stuck on and I cannot start the engine. Normally the red light stays on for 15 seconds or so while the immobiliser is live, but it now just flashes on for a second and nothing happens.
Is there a way to override the immobiliser. Has anyone else experienced this fault? Any advice welcomed. I am in France so there is no dealer nearby to help. The car was due in to the garage tomorrow for a service, but looks like I won't get there now.Than you in advance, fingers crossed.

Do you have the black "USB memory stick"-lookalike immobiliser key anywhere?

There should be a female connector on one side or another of the steering column - pushing the black "USB stick" key in should override the immobiliser and allow you to start the car..?

Thank you Dominic, I have tried that and it does not work, unfortunately.
Best regards

Please read my post here.

I too thought it was an immobiliser issue, but it was the battery.

Put a voltmeter across the battery and report back your result. Nice table below gives a good indication of battery condition.
