No specific leads, but I assume you've tried all the usual suspects:Longshot but looking for a 147 gta gearbox for my brothers car.

Mick from somewhere near Bedford who breaks alot of Alfas (sells on eBay, can't remember his username on there)
The garage on the road from Long Crendon to Bicester - SuperLeggera
Dan at autolusso Cumbria has a lot of "stuff". But don't expect a 3.2 box to be cheap/reasonable!
I am guessing that you've blown the diff up and knackered the case?
Note that any V6 gearbox will fit. A 2.5 will be a little short geared, but will have comedy acceleration, and if you're not dailying the car, it will be fine. A 166 3.0 box will fit and be closer (and there are loads of those about.).

a few years back i needed a box for a 2.5 engined car.
AlfaAid were quite clear that the 2.5 and 3.0/3.2 boxes would not be a straight swap. can't remember exactly why not but some machining was mentioned and also the swapping over of some small, but preumably fiddly and expensive, componentry.
not sure how that might apply to other models but we were discussing the 916 GTV and 166 as possible donors for my 156 - i seem to recall that the problems would be to do with mating box with engine as opposed to box into subframe though
