A workmate has an iPhone 11 on the Lebara network. He has the 4G icon and a good signal strength. However, there's no connection to any data services. He can make and receive calls. No settings changed.

Any obvious places to start looking?

Yes, no changes whatsoever since the day before where it was working.

Reset network settings, likely they have been updated.

Reset and turn wifi off would be my first call.... wifi, in my experience, can be a bit of a hurdle if the phone is looking for it and maybe finding a signal that doesn't work properly.

Mobile data on. Data roaming on. Voice and data setting to 4G (I'm looking at the settings in my iPhone 13, which will be different as that has 5G).

If all that fails, he might need to call the provider.

I have this issue occasionally. I also have the phone working but not receiving or allowing calls. It would appear that the iPhone will occasionally have the "phone" part hang in the background so, whilst the phone operates as though fully functioning, it has turned itself into an iPod. A reboot sorts it.

He did nothing at all and it sorted itself out. It wasn't the "phone" part but anything to do with data.
