I'm feeling smug, will it be short lived? I've just done a Win 7 to 10 upgrade on my PC and everything except an ageing version of Photoshop is working OK.

I had to update a couple of drivers and do a bit of re-configuring but is there anything horrific likely to happen that I should be aware of? I can't believe it was so easy, especially after being warned off by local computer shops but I took the plunge yesterday afternoon - nothing ventured and all that...

I bought a copy plus a Samsung 1TB SSD and couldn't for the life of me get the damn thing to install on it. Kept trying to reinstall despite all sorts of 'solutions'.
Along comes a normal HDD and it works fine.
Defeated the point though as I wanted super fast and got super mediocre.

Also, having to set up new tab homepage to stop the crappy Bing search engine was a pain but sorted now.

All my data files are on three Samsung external drives. Internal drive had 29.1GB free, now 26.3; no re-install attempts thus far. Bit of a shame PS6.0 won't work, not even in any compatibility mode as it was an 'old friend' but not the end of the world as I have CS2 too. Wish I'd been brave enough ages ago.

Did you apply the compatibility mode to the photoshp.exe itself?

Helped a friend get this same problem fixed using this info:
