best buy: 2015 SLK 55AMG vs 2015 Jaguar F-type S Coupe

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy my next ride.
Being both cars in the same condition, same miles and same price range, what would you think is a better buy.
Considering apart from the look, also depreciation, reliability, cost of maintenance.

I'm a Mercedes guy but the F Type beats the SLK in pretty much every department that matters.

I definitely prefer the F-Type - it just looks so much better!

But I would try to get a drive in both before committing.

Tough one, looks Jag, top down sound SLK. Would have to be the one that drives the best

As a very happy owner of a C63S coupe I would like to say Mercedes but I would buy the Jag.

I have a 2015 slk55, had it from new, it will never EVER be sold.

kept it a couple of years. No issues, but the gloss wore off pretty quick. Lovely looking thing, great gearbox, quick (the slk will show it a clean pair of heels though) but just, well, not as exciting IMO. She'll dissagree and often talks about getting another.

To me, it depends, as an everyday car the jag is better. But as a fun, laugh out loud toy in the garage, merc all day long.

The jag got a lot of positive comments (nobody really knows about an slk55) and the sports exhaust (make sure its got that) is tremendous.

This may help, but bear in mind i'm probably, no definetly, a bit biased!!
