TV Ariel Connections

[Gaffer]

I have just moved into a new place and tried to plug the onboard TV ariel into the wall, problem is they both have the same connector so wont plug in together.

Am I being really stupid or is the one in the wall the wrong connection...?

HELP...!

You do get male and female connectors (seriously and it "makes sense" if you know what I mean) so you may have the "wrong" socket on the wall.

Immersion heaters should be fairly quick... I'm not sure but I would say MAX of 2 to 3 hours {whistle}.

Thae cable thing always seems to be the same for me too. Different connectors all over the place. A length of coaxial cable and two connectors and you're off. Dead easy.

We have a larger than average tank. It takes the immersion 2 to 3 hours to heat it up from cold to shower temp.

Thanks guys, looks like the ariel socket in the bedroom is differnt to the one in the living space...!

A trip to Maplins looks like its in order.

2-3 hours?????

Its been on 2 now but I keep trying it so I bet I aint doing it any good. Hopefully it will be right by morning (6am). I moved intoday and feel horrible, I was really looking forward to a hot bath.

Depends where your local maplins is, best call first. Mail order can be pretty quick.

Yes for a large tank. 60 to 90 mins for an average size one. Can you feel any exposed metal bits on the tank or the cover on top of the heater getting warm?

If not, then either the heater is kaput or it only runs on Economy 7 which clicks in overnight, although most E7 systems have a daytime boost override as well.

You don't need Maplins for "Belling Lee" aerial connectors, B+Q? or any other large retailer will have them. Even your local supermarket!
