I’ve currently got a savings plan with Police Mutual. Started it in 2019 with £30 a month that is kept for ten years. I then get my payments back and a bonus. I’m guaranteed to get what I’ve put in back. The bonus isn’t.

It was every year I would start another one. However they’ve stopped doing the plans now. They are continuing with what you have at the moment though. I currently have two (£60 a month).

I like it because it’s taken directly out of my salary, so never see it.

Is there anything else out there that is similar? I’d like something that I can’t access straight away.

When I say straight away I’m talking about instant access. So I can’t impulse buy things.

Whilst a bigger pension would be good, it’s not too bad what I’ll be getting.

Something like an investment bond?
https://www.pru.co.uk/investments/investment-produ...

You'll pay much more in fees than a general investment account but it's quasi locked-up and there are tax benefits at the margin.
Expected returns are higher than a fixed rate savings bond but you take real investment risk.
