Touring Bike

Going touring end of this year through Europe and then into North Africa. Will be mostly roads but there will be some off road involved. For this reason and for practicality dont want to take my Blade. Have been thinking of an older Super Tenere or Africa Twin? Dont want anything too expensive or fancy, something I can abandon if needs be! Anyone got any experience of these two or any other options or views?

try and get an old air cooled tenere or XT660. Less to go wrong! good luck

Agree with Fergus. For n africa you want something simple and light, the A twin is simple enough but aint light!!!

Thanks for that am going to start looking at singles the thought of hoiking up 200kgs doesn't appeal!
