What can i buy 80 yr old parents for Xmas?

Usually drop around £150 on a gift.

Have done all sorts in the past from posh Afternoon Tea, to flying lessons, to F&M hampers, to the usual gardening kit.

With the way Corona is going. A nice hamper of stuff they like is probably the best way to go. Theres likely going to be a lock down in january so gifting them some nice bits to get through that would be good.
Even consider making it yourself. Get a basket and fill it with everything from shortbread to scrabble for instance.

You know you have reached a certain age when you start getting hampers at Christmas.

It usually starts about the same time that the verb ‘to fall over’ becomes ‘to have a fall’.

If they are still reasonably fit and adventurous how about a trip in a hot air balloon?

The landing, if they hit the net would be more gentle.

Ironically, my wife contracted bird flu from someone in the basket with us when we did it and the landing was pretty jarring and the thing ended up on its side with pensioners scrabbling in the field stubble! A good experience but I'd hesitate with any gift that has a slight A&E risk at present.
