It been a while, but tomorrow I pick up my Chim after a complete re-trim at D & C Trim, including new windscreen, roof, carpets, steering wheel, visors etc. Iv also had a new head unit fitted and 4 x JBL stadium speakers. It’s had some paintwork at Lawfield and Abbot, and a service at Lawfield engineering.

Previously it was chocolate and biscuit half hide, with a Chianti carpet. The seat springs had given way a little, the carpets where faded and stained on the shelf behind the seats.

When it was given its service by Brian Hosfield, he sent me a message saying it was a mint example and when he sent me an invoice said if I ever let it go he would take it off me. So pretty pleased that Peter Wheelers ex race engineer would want the car. That’s credit to the previous owners that had invested in the mechanicals. So let’s just say that I am excited to collect tomorrow.

New interior colours are Portland grey with antherecite leather and anthracite Jaguar carpet, you can see the leather on the bonnet below.

Dark grey quite similar to the leather on the bonnet.

You cannot post too many pictures or give too much detail. Retrim is on the list for late next year so I'd be interested in everything.

Well that was meant to be fun, and it wasn’t. Picked the car up and the leather is lovely and the colours I love. But the car decides to throw an immobiliser issue. Chris to his credit arrange for it to be repaired by someone in the know. Annoying as the Alarm and immobiliser was replaced earlier this year. So it will be booked back into the garage that installed for remedial work.

Long story short I only took a couple of pics just as it was on the drive and light was fading.

In other news I just caught the passenger side wing mirror as it was falling off. By the time I stopped it was hanging on by the electrical connection. Last time that happened to me it was in the wife’s old Z4 and it exploded over the bodywork. Got to be thankful for small mercy’s.

Very boring colour. It was more distinctive before. Is it the photograph or is the carpet fit around the rear speakers really as bad as it looks?

How are you going to use the cup holder without spilling the drink over your new interior. I've never seen any car with the front cup holders behind the line of the front seat backrests, for a reason.

Each to there own with colours. Lucy P. The cup holders are so much better than having a coffee between your legs. It just pulls out out and returns to normal when it’s not being used.

I have the same cup holders that someone on here does they're pretty handy you're never going to be able sip a drink like it a modern car but you probably shouldn't be. Handy for cans and bottles and stopping the rolling all over the show. Colours may be "boring" but they're present and easy to live with I imagine.

Everyone has different tastes but it looks really good.
I quite like the biscuit/chianti without the chocolate though!

Much prefer the new trim. In fact it looks a very similar end result to the work Chris/Dave did on my Tuscan.
