I have been trying to buy a new vehicle in the last few days...
I
have looked on line endlessly for a number of months. Went to see a couple of cars because the online pictures made the car look immaculate, only to see that they were not immaculate.

Not being able to test drive vehicles is a worry for me right now, i dont have a lot of car knowledge but i can usually tell when something is not quite right and i happily walk away.

So my question is, who in the right mind is buying click and collect on second hand vehicles?

Are there any good experiences out there, dealers people recommend at all?

I have just been refused to drive a 14k car .....sorry but i aint buying unless i have driven it....car was 10 years old buy the way and was low mileage and very very good condition.

Is it me or is this crazy and putting way to much trust in dealers?
Thanks

I'm still test driving cars, if they won't let you take your custom elsewhere.
There are 1000's of people happy with click & collect experiences as well as hundreds that are less happy if you can view a car then carry on doing this as you'll find the right one.

I’ve had a bad / unsatisfactory for my standards experience at one of those used car supermarkets. This was about 7 years ago.

Wanted to test drive a 3 Series, it was shortlist with a couple of other bits, that if I recall they also had.

Their response - if you commit to buy the car, you can test drive it. Ie if you start the paperwork we will go and get the keys and shuffle the other cars around etc. How do I know if I want to buy it, I’ve not seen the car move yet?!

Tough. Paperwork for sale or no test.

Needles to say, they didn’t get my custom.

Agreed, not a chance in hell I'd buy a click and collect car.

Ditto with dealers refusing test drives.
