Cheap and cheerful 'Mariokart' for kids on ps4?

A while ago I set up a Raspberry pi with some old console games. Mariokart 64 was a great hit with my 4 and 6 year old boys. Getting the pi out and wiring up is a hassle and it's a bit tempremental.
Is there a similar thing I can put on the ps4? Ideally simple and cheap, don't want to pay big bucks for them bouncing off the barriers for 10 minute stints!

You can buy a variety of retro Nintendo consoles starting from £25 that includes a ton of original games including Mario kart.

I disagree that the playing experience of rocket league is wildly different to mariokart for the experience of a 4 and 6 year old. Yes objectively it might be a different game (football rather than a race) but for an open environment kids that young can drive around in with a satisfaction of achievement…
