Jet wash electric seat
Discussion
I've jet washed seats before now and they have come up like new, for e.g. I did our van this summer and after a few hours during in the sun it was like a brand new interior compared to the manky mess it was before, they did have an electric sensor in them, probably for the seatbelt or airbag and it was absolutely fine. G101 and a jet was is a great combination
However what do you think an electric seat will be like, its a a cloth seat but with a couple of motors for height adjustment etc, back and forward is still manual operation.
Just to add to this as well, is all G101 the same? the last one I bought ages ago was the Autosmart one but I've noticed on ebay that there are no name G101 cleaners as well for sale.

There must be a better way.....
I've got a wed and dry carpet cleaner and although it got the seats a bit better you can still see the stains on them, jet washing really does bring seats up like new, we used to take the seats down the car wash years ago and get the industrial jet wash on them.Get a proper wet carpet vac with an upholstery hose attachment. The Vax range is great value and very effective.
I have an old Vax rapide ultra 2 that is chugging along after years of abuse.
They usually come with a couple of bottles of detergent when new; once those run out I use the no-nonsense carpet detergent from screwfix. ~£15 for 5 litres.
It’s very satisfying seeing the colour of the water and seats change for the better.
A soft plastic nail brush is handy in addition to the brush that’s usually attached to the end of the Vax extractor hoses.

I've got one of these anyway

Which does quite a good job on carpets and sofas etc but on the last car I tried to do the stains were still there, the bloke has kids and I would imagine there are all sorts of unmentionables buried in the seat fabric, its just that jet washing them gets everything out no arguments but its obviously not kind to the electrics if it gets to them.

Spray fabric cleaner (or a strong all purpose cleaner) liberally onto the seats and agitate with a drill brush attachment, then used a wet vac machine. They should come up like new.
This is the way, loads of YouTube video’s where the drill attachment does an amazing job on carpets and seats.Robotron70 said:

te look great! My usual go-to is G101 and various brushes (depending on what kind of material it is). I've got a cheap Argos Guild wet vac. Manage to get it as good as most valeting places (though I did use to do it part-time for a few years). What kind of car is it BTW?
