Girly Behaviour???

The girlfriend and I are off on our hols on Sunday :bounce: but I came home last night to see her doing something I hadn't quite expected.

I know girls get excited about going on holiday but does anyone else's other half (or yourself if you're a girl), start packing five days before you're due to leave?

I plan to pack the evening before we go and some things at the last minute.

Is this normal behaviour?

We are going away next saturday (6th) and I have done most of the packing!

We have two children, and MrRotty is working away at the moment, so I like to get clothes washed and put in the case - otherwise they end up getting worn again!

We are off on holiday on 7 August and my wife packed the kids' & her clothes about 3 weeks ago.

I intend to pack on 6 August.

As I live between 2 houses at the moment I never take my clothes out of the bag, except to wear them.

has she made lists? Real girls make lists of clothes for the case, clothes for travelling, stuff for handluggage etc etc. My entire family start asking about 6 weeks before we go "have you started your lists yet?"

I now have my lists saved on the lappy and I can update them from anywhere in the house...

I pack 1/2 an hour before I leave.

Years of boarding school has helped perfect the 'mental checklist' though, and saves me at least 10 mins

(shopping, however, does happen earlier, possibly even the day before. Oh yes. )

Beginning of May 2005:

Meeja: "Where's my white linen shirt?.... I'm sure it was in the wardrobe?"

Mrs Meeja: "I've packed it ready for us going away."

Meeja: "But we don't go until June 1st!"

Mrs Meeja: "What's your point?!"

I have been known to pack on the morning I'm leaving. The missus doesn't trust my last minute skills so she packs for me now

Oh yes . She was making lists ages ago. She's very organised. I'll have to check her laptop to see if she's done the same as you!

Every girl I know packs about half an hour before they're due to leave for the airport! 5 days is a bit extreme.

Mrs Vitesse makes lists of ideas for going away to have !
Then when she's decided which one - she'll have the idea then right the next list and so on .......it's got to the point that her Dad takes the p out of her aswell

I make a list about a week before hand, adding to in throughout the week when I think of more stuff!
Pack the day before, adding hair and bathroom stuff the morning I leave.
