Unused Hotel Rooms Charity

Wondering if there's anyone in the PH masses who may be able to help?

Some mates and I booked 3 hotel rooms ( 2 x twin and 1 x double) for a night out at the darts in January. The darts has now been moved to April and none of us can do it. The rooms were booked on a non refundable basis - fair enough, we knew the risk.

Instead of the rooms sitting empty for the night is there a charity that would find homeless/needing people who could use the rooms, if only for one night? It seems a criminal waste especially at this time of year and with the freezing weather.

Any tips and advice gratefully received.

Search for a local homeless charity in the location of the hotel. These will be better placed to allocate those in need locally or point you in the right direction.

Would the OP be responsible for paying for any damage/theft caused by occupants of the room?

It’s a good idea but you can’t just give a hotel room to a homeless.

Can they give you credit? Non refundable may result in credit to be used at another location. Blame covid

I think it’s a very generous idea
