Front/Rear windscreen polishing

I have an A-Class, W177 that I bought straight from Mercedes...With the weather turning worse, and me using Autogleam/Hard Water Spot remover, a sort of permanent 'haze' has been created in a few patches - two on my rear windshield, one in the front...I can provide with photos if asked.

I did a lot of research already, and I'd rather get it polished out than have a windscreen replacement since the car already has original glass front and rear. Is there anyone in the London area (southeast), or somewhere in Kent I can drive to that can help me with this?

Any recommendations for windscreen polishing? Try as I might, I can't find anything on google to the point where I wonder if I am doing something wrong...

It will only need polishing if there is physical damage to the screen surely?

Won’t a strong alcohol wipe remove it?

Try using a damp magic eraser or 0000 wire wool to get them off with or without alcohol or vinegar, before spending any money on a more drastic solution.

You won’t damage the glass and it should shift whatever contaminant is left on there.

Thank you for the response. I have tried the above. It has not worked... I've tried rubbing alcohol, vinegar, wool. Everything. I am pretty convinced the screens were very badly contaminated for far too long and me removing them using a strong product has etched the glass in places...
It seems like it will definitely need buffing and polishing. I just can't find a professional in London who can do this. Or I simply don't know where to look..

P.s. Merry Christmas and apologies for cross posting I just wasn't sure which thread to post under since I can get to both areas, Kent and London that is, if someone can help polish and buff both front and rear of my glasses.

Hmm.

Then I suggest that you try KDS in Gillingham. I have no direct experience but they have an excellent reputation.

Yes, detailer will throw up the right answers in Google.

You might also try glaziers who do shopfronts. IIRC they often have to use a ceramic grit to polish out scratches left by yobs etc.

Without seeing photo's I'd imagine it'll just need a quick buzz over with a machine polisher and some cerium oxide based glass polish - 30mins tops!.

OP, have you tried using a clay bar on the glass, the type used to clean paintwork ?
I've used it on windscreens and it removes an amazing amount of contaminants.
