New Investment Fund Ideas
Discussion
Hi all,
Currently on the look out to expand my fund portfolio. Currently invested in 4 funds (Tech, AI & two global equities) - netting me a 32% return.
I have some cash lying around in a savings account - getting me .75% - so I think it’s time to set it somewhere as I don’t need the cash. (Hypothetically speaking and not literally).
My question:
If you had £10k where would you put it and in which funds?

- of course I will do my own research before making investments & funds would be easier for me to invest in Vs Shares in a company given the nature of my work.
If I'd got my core in a Vanguard low cost global index fund, and I had £10k "spare"
I would probably look at something like Fundsmith, ie some quality stocks picked by a fund manager I trust.
or maybe an Emerging market fund, ie. some stocks that are maybe not as "overvalued" as some of the Western / Developed markets.
Personally I never put more than a couple of thousand into individual stocks, just for a bit of fun, as I have no real idea how to properly value a company, that's why I leave that to people like Terry Smith, or to the Index.

I've just put in an order for an ETF CQQQ Invesco China. @ 61.5
On the basis of the China market regaining some of its oomph over the next year.
It's way off its high of 108 and hopefully near it's low.
I'll be happy with 85, but may hold it longer
Wager less than 2% of NAV.
Maybe this isn't one for everybody.
