Hello guys.
I am rebuilding my e30 325i CV joints and I accidentally mixed up what races/star went with which one. Rookie error I know. After trying all combinations of each part this is the best I've got out of it. They feel very stiff and move kinda clunky. Are they fked or will they wear into their new positions? Video here of the clunky movement: https://streamable.com/v8338u

No it will not 'wear in'. Looking at it in you video it's not assembled correctly, look at the position of the inner race v's the housing, it's off.

What's off about it? I thought it was meant to be small edge meets large edge?

You are right, rookie error.

Without putting every piece in exactly the same position there will now be tight spots & loose spots.

My guess would be that if they are well lubricated they SHOULD wear in again, however having said that, for what they cost I personally would replace them.

If you don't you may well be back to do it again in a few months.
