After a few months delays it finally arrived in October.

Circa 3k miles in now and still really enjoying it.

We went for a slightly left field for the choice of colour - Mamba Green with Bordeaux Red Leather interior.

Spec wise; 4S, Folding mirrors, Bose, 20" wheels, surround camera, black rather than silver plastic, tinted windows

My eyebrows rose at the mention of the colour combination, but in the pics it looks good. Enjoy!

The exterior colour is striking and looks lovely, I will admit tho that I am not sure I would have chosen that interior red to go with it.

However, in the eye of the beholder and all that - very nice car, hope it treats you well OP smile

Leased as a company car with the appropriate BIK savings?

Looks lovely none the less!

Looks fantastic cool I love the colour combination as well.

Would love a Taycan to replace the 4E hybrid at some point!

Questions..

1. What were you thinking ?
2. Was the leasing company aware of the colours?
3. Do you generally enjoy a lot of (negative) attention from regular people on the street?

I would have thought the attention would have been positive. Great colour combo and great car!

To me the lease route is an opportunity to choose a spec combination that I’d like and not worry about the resale.
I quite like it although I wouldn’t have the guts to do it myself!
Top choice OP!!
I also have a Taycan CT 4s on order (also as a lease but a more conservative colour combo of Gentain with slate interior ) I am pondering the carmine red and may end up changing at spec lock-in time.

Great car.
Unusual colour combination, but the nickname is perfect!

I look forward to updates as your mileage increases, with only one other Taycan being reports upon in Readers' Cars, IIRC.

All the attention has been positive. Either people are being polite or they genuinely like it.

Friends that knew the proposed colour combo before it arrived have also been very pleasantly surprised

A couple of small niggles from delivery:

only a single key due to supply issues
Wireless charging doesn’t work (missing a module)
A couple of rattles (drivers seat)

It’s going in to the garage in Jan to have that taken care of (along with some bodywork where someone hit it whilst it was parked up).

Overall experience has been great to date (bar the niggles above), I wish we’d specified the memory seats as my wife and I have significantly different seating positions and the Bose stereo is lacking bass (compared to the HK system in my XC90).

For day to day the standard brakes are good but you do know it’s a heavy car if you need to stand on them. I’d love to try a car with the ceramic options.

Do the ceramics make a big difference? I thought they improved repeated braking performance rather than improve an individual stop?

I love this colour and I love this car. What a great looking thing.

The only design feature that I struggle slightly with is the treatment around the front lights. I think they'll amend this come facelift time at which point it will be fast family car perfection for me.

I would suggest that the ceramics make little difference in any kind of road use. They are of course much cleaner as they produce minimal brake dust. I tracked my ST Turbo at the Nürburgring and Spa ( not my usual type of car but had to do it). At Spa in particular which is Godawful quick I had to some in to cool the brakes and drop tire pressures but it was surprising how a car of that size could handle without ceramics:
