Well it was "cheap" in the store so I had to add it to my 201, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 versions....
Got the PS5 version and have to say I don't see much difference in graphics between this and the 2020 PS4 version (except the rain which is incredible really running down the visor etc).
I am also in my own team so am playing the PS5 version of Mr G Russel, I qualify well but then just start to go backwards and people drive clean past on the straights !

I've been thinking about getting F1 2021 for my boys for our PS4.
Is it a bit too serious / detailed for 6 and 8 year old, or do you think they would enjoy it? They are both big F1 fans.
Currently they just play Gran Turismo Sport (mostly properly, occasionally driving backwards and crashing into each other!) and the odd bit of Minecraft.
Tempted to grab a copy of this whilst it is cheap. Any experience with kids?

My 5 year old loves to have a quick race, he basically crashes into everyone and everything then watches the replay...........
To actually race it is a little much for him (even with the racing line etc he flies off the track but he is getting much better) but I imagine a 6/7 year old could cope with the basic racing - the facilities and taking research and charge of the team and so on perhaps is a little too complicated.

I’ve got the PS5 version and saved a replay last night and when watching it back noticed that you get rubber pickup and flick off off the tyres if you go offline, also noticed you can see flatspots on tyres from lockups. Now you might get this detail on ps4, i never noticed it before.

No you never saw that level of detail, I have never seen pickup etc on the tyres on the PS4 versions. But have seen it a number of times now on the PS5. You also get tyre smoke from a spin etc... Oh and you also get the rain spatter on the visor..... And puddles.....
And if you liked that, check out Theatre.......
But what I can't work out is why I only have two engine modes !
Finished the Breaking Through story and it was good. Would have liked it to be longer.
Started career mode with My Team. Full season with 30 minute practice sessions and full qually. Race distances are around 15-20 laps which for me is a nice amount.
I need to play around with the AI a bit, first time it was way to easy. Then it was impossible (using a controller). I’m a OK setting at the moment, but largely depends on the track.
Races are enjoyable. I’m not very good at qually but generally do OK on the start and make up a few places.
Need to work on my strategy when it comes to pit stops. I always seem to either pit too early or too late and it f
ks it all up.

This is £17.99 on the Xbox Store, is it worth if I already have 2020?
If you want to drive Portugal then yup....Also if it is the PS5 equivalent then yes, the rain etc is awesome (though the other graphics are not as "advanced" as I had hoped.Although to be fair I have 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 so I am perhaps not the best person to ask....
