Not sure, I think it was an NO Systems kit, but a mate of mine has a 4.2L 400SE that runs nitrous. His Supra twin-turbo-nutter thing still runs rings around it though.

I have seen a tweaked Griff 500 with Nitrous, that I believe Richard at Wedge Auto used to have. The car was for sale at a dealers with all the Nitrous kit stripped out. (to save weight I suppose)

Never seen a Wedge running nitrous. Might do it on my wedge for a giggle (pathetic laughing gas joke ahemm).

Gaz666, if you want to go faster swap the 350i for a 400SE, simple as that!

When i was looking to buy a wedge about 6 months ago, I saw a white 350i advertised with nitrous fitted. Insurance ruled it out for me (I have a bit of a speeding record so I didn't go and look at it - someone must have it though - or it's still for sale - gotta be worth a test drive..........

Nitrous ... Hmmm I ve been reading a bit about this loverly stuff and its applications in the Motor Industry. Has anyone out there REALLY considdered it ?
Reason being, I was chatting to some locals, one of which had a citroen Zara 1.4 ( I know ... ) fitted with a 50 bhp nitrous Injector, progressive delivery system etc.
I was pondering... the V8 could probably take a 50bhp hit without the need for progressive delivery .. say at 4500 rpm.
Also, I notice a few people offering such kits .. www.wizardsofnos.co.uk etc
But £500 for a simple kitt seems a lot of cash.
Has anyone looked into importing a US spec Kitt, these I have seen for $399.

It is banned from Motorsport and the NOS is not that cheap. Richard Thorpe got through a whole cylinder in a single lap at Zolder.

Did he also mention that clutches were lasting around 800 miles, the chassis and suspesnion was twisting and various other things. But he was NOXing to 600 bhp in extreme cases and 450 for shopping trips...

I have run Nitrous on one of my other cars as an anti-lag system for over 2 years now, and have found it to be very reliable (when set up correctly).

The V8 would take 50-100BHP at 1500-2000 RMP (in a high gear) no problems without a progressive controller.

What you do need is a good fuel pump and pressure regulator, and a ECU/controller that can retard the ignition by 3-4 degrees when the gas kicks in (e.g. Unichip).

As far as price goes, £500 for 100BHP has to be the cheapest power you can buy !

NOS is fun. (Coming to a Supercharged 450 near you soon).
