Facebook dumb question

If someone leaves a FB page, do all their posts also get removed?
Reason i ask is that someone put a reply to one of my posts and their post is no longer there

They could have simply deleted their post?

What do you mean by "leaves a FB page"? Unlike/unfollow it? The reply to a post or comment will still be there unless they delete it.

As above, if it is a private group they have left their post will still be visible with the name of the poster except the name wont be highlighted so you wont be able to click on it

Oh yeah, if you mean, group it would make sense but also it does say "blah deleted a post that you're replying to" or something if you replied to the deleted comment.

Hoofy and others. sorry if the question seemed weird, After a good nights sleep lol i can put it a bit better and in chronological order

On a FB groups i posted a picture of a loco i am building
Several people comments and one said it should be named after his birth place

I used the reply button rather than putting a new post
No his post is not there but my reply to it is!!

Also he put another post about his dad and that together with the replies has gone awol

He is not or i cannot find him on the list of members either, and looking for his name on FB generally no trace

I did think he may have left the group but if there is no FB entry he must have dumped that as well
