Not tried with bike parts specifically, but I find that for collection only items gumtree is much better than eBay.

On eBay there are always people getting mardy because you won't post it, or wanting to.meet you somewhere half way which is still an hour's drive.

Gumtree people seem to be more local, and less stroppy. Round me anyway.

If it isn't selling perhaps it's too much. Gumtree is free btw, Ebay isn't.

Expect an immediate phone call from the scammers if you advertise on gumtree they use them as a source of phone numbers

I quite like Gumtree, but there are a lot of people who surf the site looking for anything they can make a lowball offer on, in the hope of flipping it. You may get random speculative messages. To deter timewasters, it may be useful to say in your ad that you will only respond to calls.

I advertise on Facebook Marketplace, then cut and paste my advert into Gumtree. If the item hasn't sold by the time the next Ebay cheap listing weekend comes along, I'll advertise it there as well.

As far as I am aware, almost all for sale advert categories on Gumtree are free, unless you want it to be a featured ad which appears at the top of relevant searches.
