I'm torn on this... The French hold their politicians to account (imagine that!), are fiercely proud of their country (imagine that, without being told its wrong, shameful, racist etc) and the food, wine and so on - there's a lot to admire.

Then there is this. The undoubted troubles they do have.

There's a lot to admire, but also condemn.

I have family who live in France at this appears to be in some of the less well off areas. A throw back to the protests from a couple of years ago.

It is funny that the French are saying that there were a lot less this year than last so good progress is being made.

It does seem a "French trait" to burn things
