The Murders at Starved Rock - HBO
Discussion
Tells the case of 3 women brutally murdered at Illinois state park in 1960.
Chester Weger was found guilty, the jury recommended Life and not the sparky chair, not sure why.
He was released in 2020 just in time for covid.
He has always professed his innocence, but the evidence seemed compelling.
Not a case I'd heard of but the documentary was interesting if overlong.
In one of the murdered ladies' clenched hand was hair [ presumably ] from the attacker.
The DNA result is not due till early 2022, again not sure why the delay.
If the hair is not Chester's then he could look forward to a $100 million pay out from the Illinois State coffers
