Anyone got any advice about successfuly setting these things up on the V6 S ?
The instructions say "ad a 1/4 turn" to the bolt on the side and leave alone...Very technical!
Does not seem worthy of the money spent on it unless you know its performing at its optimum ...but how do you find that? Trial and error alone? :scratchchin:

This is a question I asked ages ago but IIRC Mike at Horizon said he would take it from the standard 3.5 bar to 5 bar I think.

I would check because there is no point in fueling faster than the injectors or the ECU can handle, otherwise you will just spew it out the back.

I have one fitted to the S3, it was on the car when i bought it, car does about 25 to the gallon which i beleive is about the norm so havent tried adjusting it yet. i was under the impression that it stops surges in fuel at the injectors and transfers any excess fuel back to the tank, but i could be wrong, cars running ok so trying to get used to the rest of the underbonnet stuff at the momment. trying to locate a freindly rolling road in the nottingham area the that sort of stuff can be checked out.

I dont have one as i went for the full Unichip instead, however I did look into it & learnt the following:
When fitted, turn it up & go for a run, then if all is well turn it up a little more & test run again. Keep turning it up bit by bit until the test drive tells you its overfuelled. This will manifest in either lumpy running or big pops & bangs in the exhaust.
I beleive its key purpose is to increase the fuel pressure which helps in gear accelleration in third, fourth & fifth.

Have fun

Hi Tim,

Did your mate in the garage not help you set it up for you? Had great fun annoying my neighbours, blasting up and down the road 10 times in an hour!

Hi Tim,

I adjusted mine to enrichen the mixture until the engine ran a bit lumpy then I backed it off slightly until it ran smoothly again (do this really slowly). I then checked the exhaust tailpipes after a long run to ensure they still looked grey and not sooty.

The result was a much improved throttle response and better acceleration.

If you like, you can bring your car over and I'll do it but I must have a test drive after

I'm missing my S

Good try Kevin

So,it really is just play then...ok, I can do that!

Perhaps I will need a second opinion still eh Kevin?
Test results after a longer run etc etc.!
