Sorry but Covid has spread to the Lounge with a new variant called "negative " since when and why do people leave negative reviews because of Covid this is mainly for the hospitality industry which has suffered enough without people leaving negative reviews regarding social distancing and tables not being sanitized quick enough.
The reason for my small rant is because over Christmas had a break down in Cornwall and found a lovely little place tucked by the harbour wall in Porthleven serving drinks and takeaway food squid and chips prawns etc to be honest it was bloody lovely people were friendly and we were all sharing what tables and benches there were along the harbour wall even the dogs from the "should dogs be allowed thread " were all there all huddled around wood fired stoves in the blustery weather.
Apart from Pistonheads and Ebay I don't really do any social media but my wife does Instagram etc and follows a few restaurants that we like but I thought I would look at Tripadvisor to see what the reviews were like for this particular place which were mainly excellent apart from a couple of negative ones for no social distancing and tables not being cleaned if you know this place its on narrow part of the harbour wall any form of distancing you would be in the bloody harbour and short of belt sanding the tables I can't see any reason for cleaning them one its outside and even if they squirted some sanitizer it would blow away before it even reached the tables
I think what I am trying to say is if you are that paranoid don't bloody go don't leave an unnecessary negative review and no I am not an anti-vaxxer either before anyone asks just trying to be sensible and support these places in difficult times

Yep, and I feel for the owners of these places as they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
If they act like the covid gestapo then they will turn a lot of their customers away...
BUT
If they just apply a little common sense they inevitably annoy someone who thinks a pub should resemble an operating theatre or something!

And it might invoke the wrath of Trading Standards (Remember them?? The ones that seem very good at turning a blind eye to all sorts of dodgy dealings seem quite happy to get hospitality places threatened with closure...)
