V70 fuel door solenoid playing up

According to Haynes when this goes u/s there is a wire pull ig you remove the corner cover

Oh NO there isnt

I have got mosr of the RH trim off and can just about see the solenoid and there isn't even a bit od a pull wire.

Anyone else had this problem and best was yo overcome it

What age V70 is this on? I have a P2 and mine failed. I was able to remove the side trim with handle and feel about the move the solenoid manually, after that I removed the connector and fitted a locking fuel cap instead!
