I know this is not the most interesting thread title in the world, and quite possibly reinforces the stereotype of the british for all our foreign viewers ;) but we are currently experiencing some quite frankly bonnet-bouncing rain here, and have been for the last 4 hours...I haven't seen rain like it before (cue: you haven't lived/been to borneo etc jokes) and it occurred to me that perhaps this is the result of a typhoon or some other weather system affecting our fair isle? currently the car park is under 7" water and the rain is belting down, the trent has risen a foot today according to local news, I wonder if we have a flood coming?

I am officially p1ssed off because it means i'm walking home as the mini is guaranteed not to start now :(

Makes life more interesting though. I like a damn good storm

You could be right there it does seem more reliable than the mini.maybe if he put the beetle engine in the mini?.

Strangely, I've never had a problem with my Min when it comes to water but my old housemate's Mini was a 'kin nightmare for it. He found that a rubber glove and some elastic bands round the distributor worked wonders.
