I know we all must have one for the car and I guess we all know that actually we wont ever see the return on itin £ and p....... but what price can you put on a huge grin???

Mine is

New stainless steel manifolds £450
All new water hoses fitted £180 (no point in a weak point in the system....)

Austec re map £600 (assuming no bits needed)

Alloys refurbed £250
New carpets (have carpet need fiting) £350

Total £1830

plus anything else that comes along :hehe:
I am trying the tactic with Mrs D of if I have the cash so can you for whatever you want..... we shall see:smokin:

My wish list:

1) more power
2) better handling and brakes
3) nothing major breaks or falls off
4) see 1

My other approach is to keep so many unusual bits and pieces under the bonnet that people don't notice the oily hand prints everywhere ...

The only thing I'm missing is a V8 lump and I don't really think I'll be happy till I get it.

Prefer the 'go' and not necessarily the 'show' bits, so more power, better brakes, better suspension and of course better driver .
Failing that a 400 bhp cerb will do .

Just getting a few bits from my wish list this week actually. The last few shiny bits from LeeBee will be fitted next week and my new ACT small bore shiny S/S manifolds also, so not much left to do 'Show wise' as Harry would put it..... although I guess long term a respray to make the exterior match the interior?? A new hood would be nice and I am still on lookout for 16" Chim wheels for the front?

But wish list for now is really..

ACT C/F trumpets
ACT C/F Twin plenum
Drive in Drive out Engine rebuild by TVR-Power 270bhp? ish

£3500 ish..........?

The wish list....

1. Chassis Refurb - might get round to it this year!
2. Re-spray
3. New springs/dampers
4. De-cat & sports exhaust
5. Brake up-grage
6. As close to 200bhp as I can get

And finally......

7. Either a large pay-rise or a lottery win to pay for it all

1. Can anyone tell me how to get the heater fan to work on an S1.
There is power to the switch as the lights dim v.slightly when the fan is switched on but it wont spin!
I dont want to remove the dash to replace it I'd rather stick to my thermals in the winter.

The rest is just fine and gorgeous

Sounds like the power is going somewhere, presumably to the motor since no fuses have popped, so I would suspect the fan is mechanically seized or jammed. Might just be rusted up if it's been damp and unused for an extended period?

I have only one wish. That the car would run at 90% like everyone says it should. It's fine going along, top of 90, stop in traffic it gets right on the white line with the fans at full blast. I'm scared of any traffic these days....... Still great fun when your moving though !!!!

My wish list, hmm.

1 New paint job,
2 20p a litre petrol
3 Bigger fuel tank
4 More tailpipe noise

There are a few more but these will do for starters.
