Ar$ehole Neighbors - Where have they come from ???

Generally speaking!
I know throughout the history of time there have always been arsehole neighbors and there always will be due to people being different and having different value and moral systems at work.
But
I have noticed, more or less over the last 5 years or so a vast majority of stories of arsehole neighbors appearing more and more - and indeed experienced it myself for the first time over the last year :mad:
Why is this happening now? Are the council estate chavs (Note to the pedants - calm down I mean the chavs that live on council estates not that everyone that lives on a council estate is a chav... :rolleyes:)
My parents never had any problem with their neighbors, and since they broke up I have spent time in 5 different houses in different areas with different incomes etc and never really came across anyone. Yet my mum now has a problem with one of her neighbors (very rich area - some woman keeps parking wherever she wants on mums land), and loads of mates are just lviing next to total arseholes.
What is the cause? I dont want to buy a house now as I am scared of buying next to a freak or chav and then not be able to sell (like my landlady!)
Can someone put these f:censored:kers back in the box and send them back to the factory?!

Seriously the society we live in today doesn,t appear to have good morals,manners or thoughts for others.
I talk in general terms.
What do they teach children in schools these days.
Please and Thanks.. or even cheers is better than nothing.
My children are normal children they are naughty sometimes,but they do have morals.
they understand it is wrong to steal.
it is nice to say Thankyou and excuse me.
They will all run to help an elderley person or a mum to hold open a door.
they still eat like pigs at the table and treat there own home like a doss house.
but I am pleased to say outside they have manners.
They cost nothing to gain and the benefit of having them is immense..

I had to say that it has become a sad day that if I see a polite and well mannered 15 year old and 13 year old it surprises me. It really really shouldnt but the large large large majority of them are total and utter ar$eholes. Its not a stage, its not because "i am getting old" - most simply are now c
ts.
And they will grow to own (or get via benefits
) houses thus contributing to the ongoing neighbor problem

I think you are half right and half wrong.
Society is definitely getting more bad manners, however, I think people have a shorter fuse nowadays. I can't put my finger on it but there is much more stress nowadays and when someone does something you find annoying you snap that much quicker.

On topic, There seems to have been a gradual erosion of respect for the law and individual responsibility. this leads to the 'blame everyone else/society/not my fault' view that so many of the problem causing sections of society seem to have.
My next door neighbours are brilliant. Get on really well with both sides. One works a the same place as me, which is handy for lifts, and means we can bitch about the place together. Other side are retired and always happy to help out looking out for cats etc.
The people opposite are another story though - police seem to visit them regularly, but they don't affect me much.

The worst nieghbour i ever bumped into was a few years back when i was bricklaying and built a double storey extension on the side of a customers house,the side of the extension ran close to the fence and to build that side of the house in a "Normal" way would of meant asking the nieghbour nicely if we could carefuly run some scaffold his side of the fence...No chance!,he wouldnt have it, in the end we had to build the scaffold up through the inside of the Building and build the whole of one side overhand,the miserable git of a nieghbour

Ah, but on the other hand, c*ntflaps next door to me built a new roof on his extension and dropped loads of shi-ite onto my patio.
Needless to say he never offered to clear it up, I had to do it.
I used to have neighbours upstairs that thought it quite reasonable to drop beer cans and cigarette butts into my garden, and then vomit into it for good measure as well. And I'd also be woken up at 9 on a Sunday by the music from Wonder Woman, accompanied by what can only be described as elephants dancing.

On our road its about 50/50 between ok neighbours and complete w*nkers. One of the w*nkers randomly went psycho and kicked a few dents in a former neighbours car, and has also attempted to attack my sister once.

I think people have generally become more selfish and less caring about the effect of their actions on others.
Damn right. You should see how many spackers shop in our local Tesco... well, at any rate the spaces are always full... little bit of consideration never hurt anyone.
