As per title,

Its a 2015 late MBP 15in, current battery stats:
Charge Information:
Charge Remaining (mAh): 2554
Fully Charged: No
Charging: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 7428
Health Information:
Cycle Count: 350
Condition: Normal

If I leave the laptop sleeping and not charging over night its almost always drained 60 -70% of its charge, is this normal? Should I be closing down all running apps and programs? I expect it to drop a bit but not nearly as much as it does. Thoughts?

I tried to connect my phone to a Bluetooth device the other day and it wouldn't connect.

I opened my sleeping macbook as it had last used it, and disconnected the device, and then my phone connected.

So Apple OS appears to sleep with one eye awake.

Have you tried staying awake to see if that helps? wink
Sorry, somebody had to do it.
ETA: I've had MBPs since the year dot, we've had two in the house for the last few years, they always lose charge when they're not being used. Haven't measured the rate though.

FWIW - I usually turn off Wifi before I close the lid on mine, as that helps preserve battery life.

Strange. My 2019 MacBook Pro has done this a couple of times in the last few days.

It was left at <20% the first time, but yesterday was over 90% charged when I closed the lid and wouldn't turn on this morning unless plugged in.

Not tried on mine yet, but presume you've tried a proper shutdown/restart, and resetting the SMC etc?

You haven't left a usb device of any sort plugged in? I did that and it flattened the battery despite the mac being off.

I noticed this on my 2015 MBP after one of the OS updates - used to be able to close the lid and reopen the next day with 1 or 2 % difference now it's dead

if there are any fixes or cures i'd be interested too

Worth checking that Power Nap mode is disabled in settings - for both battery and on power adapter.

I noticed yesterday that my Bluetooth mouse kept waking up my MPB when it was asleep. So that is another thing worth checking.

Battery is 6 years + old.

What does service status say?

You can't be far off needing a replacement.
