It’s interesting to see the anti anti-woke messaging coming through stronger - if you don’t embrace said social movements, you are not progressive.
I find the demands of the collective wokerati, for mass adherence to niche obsessions, abhorrent. They justify the green agenda on science, but don’t justify their demands on gender in the same way. They want to ignore and judge historical contributions rather than recognise them in context. They demand you fall in to line with their beliefs and gestures (some imported from the US), and if you don’t you are wrong and need to be cancelled / sacked.
The collective are corporations, charities, individual activists, social media platforms, young generations, national media like CNN, and civil services - its mainstream.
This is a movement that is stoked by political interests, and will result in change whether we like it or not.
This ‘crap’ is not disappearing any time soon.

How can anyone write "wokerati" with a straight face
I read it and now have this as an ear worm...How can anyone write "wokerati" with a straight face

I'm on quite a few forums and on almost every single one there's angry (mostly) old (mostly) men banging on about wokes......and now, adding colour, a group of anonymous Latin-American meat packing glitterati.
Anything they disagree with it's woke and anything that's wrong with their life it's because of the wokes.
I'm not even talking niche forums just think of a hobby or interest you have and if there's a forum to discuss it they're probably on there.
Honestly it's quite bizarre.

I liked the quote in the article from Winston Churchill's grandson:"Apparently anyone who modernizes anything or does anything to remotely bring it up to date is 'woke.'" he said. "It's absolute b****cks."
I find that some woke stuff can go a bit OTT but in general terms, if people think it's going to go away they will be disappointed.

It will likely go once it has served its purpose just as the Chinese cultural revolution faded away in time and now the Chinese are emphasising Confucian ideals again. JagLover said:

I think it will go away but wont go backwards. Woke will just become the new norm and people will move on. That's how I see that the world normally works anyway.
