It really shouldn't be undersated what he is doing.

I mean he is on a great bike with a good team, but theres only him leaving the start line, and navigating himself. Its pretty brilliant.

Such a likeable guy too. MotoGP is worse off without him.

Very impressive and good to see.

It might be a bike, a very good bike, but it's a different discipline altogether.

What counted against him in MotoGP, height and build, are now helping him.

Well done Danilo.

Pretty amazing isn't it, to be able to swap to a totally different discipline and mix it with the absolute best.

I'm well chuffed for him, an amazing debut. And the first person to win a motogp race and a Dakar stage, right?

I was at the Qatar motogp race a few years ago and in the paddock there is pretty good access to the riders. Petrucci was on his way from the pits to the motorhome and this liitle Italian kid was running behind him shouting "Danilo, Danilo". Petrucci heard him, stopped and spoke to him and had fotos with the kid and his family. Seemed like a really decent bloke. I've liked him ever since.
