Tesco Clubcard online shopping?

Hw do you use your Clubcard when making online grocery shopping orders, does it work automatically?
Just placed my first Tesco online shopping order and my Clubcard is showing on my account, but I appear to have been charged full price for the items that are showing as Clubcard discounted offers. Does the discounted price show on the receipt when the shopping is delivered?
Looks like all their discounted products require a Clubcard these days.

Yes. Seems an excellent pricing structure/strategy to lose customers but maybe they more than make up for it on overcharging people who forgot their clubcard/ don't have one.
I've done that before, grabbed some Clubcard bargains and then forgotten to show my Clubcard. Om other occasions I've had to be reminded by the checkout woman.Dont forget to check you actually end up with the discount. Ive found sometimes when shopping in store the discount doesnt come up. I use the self scan so can see straight away if not getting discount then just make a note on my phone then get the discount manually applied at the till.
Worst offenders are meal deals , staff told me they often dont give the discount but if people are doing a big shop they dont notice.
Worst one ive seen was when they tried to charge me £17 instead of £10. When i complained they werent bothered ‘it happens all the time’ and just did a manual discount.

Do folk tip the delivery drivers, or do they get paid quite well?
I left in 2019. Properly made £30 a month in tips (max of 32 drops a day depending on route). Xmas was a lot more. £150 in the week before was my best. Pay for me was around £10 an hour. Not sure what it is now.

From what I've seen the 'clubcard bargains' appear to be the same sort of discount as any other supermarket.There's no point in shopping at Tesco without a clubcard.

We’ve used them for years and years. Lets see which items get replaced with some bizarre substitute
Substitutes do happen but taking the last few shops where it was >£200 each I can recall on one of those no substitutions the other they had fruit in different size packed than requested but overall a similar total weight requested.

The checkout operator isn't bringing food to my house, I have to take my food to them whilst they stay sat down. Different for the delivery driver.Do you tip the checkout operator?
I tip takeaway drivers, and I gave the Tesco guy £2, he was very appreciative. He also probably had the easiest drop of the day, he could park right outside my house, flat driveway, no steps, and I had the crates back to him in 30 secs.

Checkout operator is paid to scan goods for you to pay. That cost is built into the price of products you buy. Delivery driver - we have to pay a delivery fee or an annual fee for unlimited delivery slots. Their salary is funded from that plus maybe from the product cost.
We still go into the actual shop to purchase our goods (old fashioned I know!)
There certainly are plenty of staff picking the items for home delivery about, in fact they often get in the way!
One of the reasons we still actually shop is due to the best before or use by dates. We only go once a week and try to ensure we buy items with enough shelf life. If you watch the in store pickers they just grab the nearest item (obviously) whereas we look at the dates before putting in the trolley. There can be a lot of difference up to many days.

Likewise they've recently moved to paperless deliveries, so you have no visibility at the point of delivery what items have short dates and also what is missing, they send a mail but that doesn't always help, last week for example they missed several items from my order I assumed that they were out of stock, checked the email and I'd been charged for 3 of them... had to call and get a refund.
I'm getting increasingly frustrated with stuff missing/short dates as it still means I have to go to the supermarket which was the whole point of getting a delivery in the first place.
