I was wondering how many 4.3 owners there were on P/Hs and how feasible a meet-up was.

I know how gorgeous my 4.3 sounds on its own, but the sound of several more lined up/going through a tunnel must be shattering. Since owning my Tiv, I have never heard another 4.3 next to mine, in fact not really seen any others at gatherings. I know they must have been there but you rarely get to meet EVERYBODY at these meets.

How how about it?

A day/afternoon out for;* a initial meet-up. EVEYONE get to know each other, compare cars/technical gremlins to get advise on/share experience on problems, etc.

*Then a cruise onto another venue for grub & drink. *Maybe then onto a kart track for some competitive fun and games. Just ideas here, so I'm open to suggestion.

I know summer has said adios it seems, so maybe we could just meet up and discuss a date for next spring. Whatever, comments please...

I am more than happy to organise the event, and if properly done it could make for a superb day out.

Look forward to hearing from all the 4.3 clan.

Regards

Tiv

Count me in but work means I will need a fair bit of notice.
Hope you can get some bods because there must be more than two 4.3's about.

I could be up for that as well. A start might be to try and get a 4.3 section at VW? Or someone with a sign to get 4.3 owners to meet under.

Great idea ,that seems to make 4 of us so far.......not bad for day one.
I've also wanted to compare notes and to listen to/see other 4.3's.
You guys seem to be southern based......need to come up with a venue that includes a serious tunnel or two.
Has anyone listed places/tunnels to make the most noise ?
Anyway keen to meet up.....any thoughts on where. I'm near junction 6 M25.

Sod tunnels.....how about all you people rumble down to Devon in the South West and I'll show you some roads where you can scare yourselves to death in a 4.3 with nothing more than the odd cow to watch you go by ;o>

Matt, 4.3 Griff A5 TKC in N Devon.

Excellent, I make that 6 so far

Ssc, I was going to make it strictly 4.3 pre-cat Griffs, but you are more than welcome to join the us.

AF, I'll get back to you on that one ole buddy

icam, not a bad idea, but I was trying to make this a specific event/day out. But theres no reason why we can't all meet up at the next VW.

MJH, I know of some very nice tunnels to shake the tiles off of!

Mark, Matt, Jon, Jim, will keep you all posted on details.

At this point I just want to find out how many 4.3 pre-cat Griff owners there are that are interested. And where they are. Once that is done I can then get on and go about organising things and getting input from you guys.

If this happens, I really want it to be a well planned event that all of us enjoy SO MUCH that it becomes an annual event. Hence the specific call for 4.3 pre-cat Griffs.

For all owners of other marques, I in no way trying to cause segregation. I love all TRVs, as they are all special in their own way. This is just an idea I thought of the other day, and would love to make it happen.

I now know the overriding factor that made me go for a 4.3 pre-cat Griff....

THE NOISE!!

MJH - Tunnels? I'll show you tunnels...!!

Looking forward to hear from the rest of the 4.3 G clan.

AF, will bell you later or tomorrow buddy.

Regards

Tiv

Tivhead, I realise you wanted a specific 4.3 meet with location depending on where everyone is based.

But VW is this Sunday so if anyone is going with a 4.3 Griff then it might be worth trying to say hello then.

No problem SB, this do won't be for a while yet. As weather is pretty dodgey, and I am up to my eyes in decorating

Will give it a while longer to see how many 4.3 Griffs there are, then I can start thinking about what kind of places we can go to, etc
