Ford’s Steven Armstrong next CEO?

The Ford Authority website just posted a story that Mr.Stroll reached out twice last month to see if Mr. Armstrong was interested in taking on the job. Apparently they are still engaged in
conversation. Armstrong has been with Ford for 30 years as head of the company in Europe
and South America.

Maybe. Perhaps ”Yesterday’s Dreams” (1968), certainly not ”Still Waters Run Deep” (1970), but maybe ”Catfish “(1976), ”The Show Must Go On” (1977) and then ”Back Where I Belong” (1983)

You wouldn't want any of the supposed finance experts from here to be involved.
They would remember David Brown buying Aston Martin for £20,000, then combining it with Lagonda for another (was it) £50,000.
Wonderful fun was enjoyed with the cars for many years, but then having to pay off the £5 million debt and selling the whole business for £101.

And that was one of Aston Martin's golden periods.

Unfortunately those 'experts' would say, never get involved.
