Chaps I’m after a chunky green watch - prefer under £1k
I dislike porthole small deep faces, I like a nice side lug, meaty weight is good.
However I’m at a loss so any suggestions?

I’ve seen so far

Your title says 'chrono', but only one of the watches you show is a chrono, so:

Correction - diver style required - decent weight - not bothered about extra dials.

This will tick all your boxes and well under budget, don't forget the discounts either!

The mido is an option too but trying to find a dealer in the UK is tricky.

I think they both have the same movement (swatch group)

I've got a steeldive 'halios puck' in green and its got a lovely weight to it and has a great engineer style bracelet. NH35 movement so nothing out of this world but totally rock solid.

It comes in well under budget too!

Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba is good in green.

Which green do you want? A 'hulk' so all green with the green dial, or a Kermit which is just a green bezel?

If you just want a copy and paste of a Sub - https://www.steeldiveuk.com/product-page/copy-of-s...

To be honest either - at this price point I’m not fussy if have either but my eyes need a decent face size and I like 180 - 200g type weight ideally. So many don’t publish the weight.

The diameter of the dial is about 32mm I would say.

I've not got any scales to hand but it is definitely fairly heavy as it's a 46mm case but due to the lugless design it actually wears really well.

Cheers / I’ll put it on the shortlist - not noticed lugless before

I really like, it's a bit different to my other watches but wears really nicely.

HydroConquest?

Nice and weighty, especially in the larger sizes.

Good shout but I’ve got one, it’s supposed to be blue but it’s bloody black. Nice watch just a bit small the one I have.

Why wouldn't you, they look good!

Dave, I've got a Hulk, don't wear it a huge amount as I like it to feel special when I do, I've had it a while and it's my favourite watch.

Nick just bought a Tudor Harrods Edition which is a darker green but still very nice. Over your budget but you're clearly being stingy Mr. Moneybags.
