Maritime Blue

I need to lock the spec of a 992 GT3 in the next few weeks. I'm going to have a PTS colour, I've a shortlist of potential colours one of which is Maritime Blue but I haven't seen it in the metal for years and years. There's a Maritime Blue 944 S for sale in Norfolk but its a bit of a trek from me in London. If you have, or know of a Maritime Blue car in or around London (closer than Norfolk at least) and you don't mind a stranger off the internet having a sticky beak can you let me know?

Like a lot of colour Maritime Blue that they can make today won’t look the same as it does on say a 964 RS. It’ll be close but not the same.

This dealer down in Sussex had a 964 C2 last week so may still have it

The last time I ordered a custom colour on a car I was stuck between two shades and like you there was one I simply couldn't find on a car anywhere, so I ordered a couple of spray cans and painted some flower jugs I bought from a local garden centre so I could get a real grasp for the colour.

This then helped me choose. (I went with the one on the right if you were curious)

Saying that I've just ordered a Porsche in Oak Green Metallic purely based on pictures on line. But it's a "safer" colour

Thanks, the 964 C2 isn't on their web site now so I guess it's sold.

The 944 S2 I'm going to look at (if I can't find anything closer) was repainted in 2018 so it should be representative of a new one from Porsche.

[Voodoo Blue]

Reading had a Cayman in the showroom back in 2018 in Maritime which I really liked. I took a couple of pictures which might help.

If I was going PTS, I'd be looking for something that doesn't look too much like standard colours. ETTO of course

I drove 7 hours there and back to look at the Maritime 944 on Saturday. It was lovely. I had a Voodoo Blue GT4 for a couple of years so I'm very familiar with it. I agree Maritime looks very similar to Voodoo in some photo's but is nothing like it in the metal, that's why I drove 7 hours to see it with my own eyes.

I had narrowed it down to Nogaro Blue or Maritime. Now that I've seen both in the metal over the past two weekends we have a winner.

Maritime is fantastic, looks so different depending the light or the camera.

Cars With Luke on Youtube had a 718 GT4 is Maritime, his collection video has some really nice shots, and looks more on the purpley side in some ways, definitely not as blue as Voodoo...
