Uneven Brake Wear - 987.2 Cayman

Had my Cayman up on the ramps yesterday and noticed the inside of the front brakes is showing uneven wear:



I would assume this isn't normal, but wanted to get some opinions just in case - the outside of the disk is wearing normally.

Heres an old thread, I think it's quite common with light/infrequent use on these cars.

Use the car more, and I've invested in some bilt hamber atom-mac to use after washing my car.

That's not uneven wear, that's the usual inner disc face corrosion that the 996/986/997/987 models tend to suffer from.

It's not helped by putting the car away with wet discs after you've washed it, but I don't think that's the sole reason for the problem.
Replace the discs and pads and start again, or buy better quality discs ...

Thanks guys, that's calmed me down a bit

That sounds about right really, I've had the car nearly a year but only tend to drive one day per week due to working from home.

It's due a minor service now anyway but I intend to get the brakes done at the same time (the rear pipes are showing corrosion) so it will be addressed soon.
