Blimey, containers being prised open, Amazon packages stolen, if contents judged not worth having immediately dumped, otherwise make off with loot.

As I understand it, the containers are not allowed to be locked while on the trains, the trains are then stopped at these locations while they wait to proceed, the security around these stop points is poor.

Look up California and it’s ideas on law enforcement and punishment and you’ll see

Their liberal policies are paying dividends

Things like this.

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-05-3...

Who’d have thought it - defunding the police (in this case reducing the budget by $150m in the face of rising crime, 500 officers off the streets etc. All in place of ‘community projects’.

They're locked, but breaking in isn't difficult.

I spent 4 weeks in California last month and can confirm crime is a very big problem.

Whilst they ignore that this is actually caused by appalling poverty and the crime rate is far worse in.their conservative utopias.

California always gets a mention because it's.got a population of 39.5 million. More than 1 in 10 Americans are Californian.

The real reason they hate California is that it works. Thus invalidates everything they delude.themselves about.

Smiler.

A work-place proximity associate of mine is a Californian; backed it, was proud of it and eulogised about it for years, but now even they've had enough, their opinion of the Governor is extremely low, and they are looking to escape the madness to a less insane state in the next few months.

Nothing to do with liberal choices but everything to do with it being LA - the second largest city in the USA (a country with a population of nearly half a billion, don't forget) and a city that's always been rife with poverty and inequality. I therefore am not surprised by this news.

Could be. You've put it much more eloquently, if so.
