Can anyone recommend a decent beard trimmer?
Wanting to grow one but mine always grows like a wire brush...
Any products that can be used to soften it up?

In terms of a trimmer I had been using a a Wahl trimmer. I've just got a Philips Oneblade. Jury is still out.

I’ve tried a few different beard trimmers and they’re all st. Moaned to my barber that I’d found this to be the case, he agreed and told me to get some hair clippers. Bought a Wahl Super Taper (most popular professional clipper in the UK) and the difference is unbelievable. Not the cheapest, but feels like it’ll last forever and the speed and results are on a different planet.

Im terrible at shaping my beard, so I just go to the barber.

For product, I use king c Gillette beard balm post my morning shower. Prefer this to the various oils I’ve used previously.

Barber one a month or so plus a 'buzz over' in front of the bathroom mirror every few days to keep it tidy. My 12 year old Remington trimmer has just died so I've a Wahl Groomsman on order, £16.49 from Amazon.

I use mostly Mariner Jack beard balm or oil as O/H likes their fragrances esp. Navigator (spearmint).

I have BaBylissMEN Super-X Metal Series Cordless Hair Clipper and really like it. Solid feel and good battery.

Loads of clippers attachments so should cover all hair/beard lengths

I bought one of these - it works very well to keep a short beard rather than the full Taliban.
