CLUTCHES......aaarrrggghhh!

I really don't believe this. Just spoken with my indie. AP are out of stock of clutches. Blackpool don't have any, and can't complete part built cars as a result, and thus my daily driver Cerb is off the road for an indefinite period.:furious:


What's more, no one can say when there will be any available. :banghead:

If it helps, I havent had mind for over 10 months now, and she still goes on and on about it...

Ignore TVR. Take your clutch out and take it round to someone who'll reline the things. I had a very strange clutch plate in a BMW relined in this way by a chap in croyden. Basically he cuts the linings to size and rivets them on.

But Cerb clutch failures usually involve broken fingers, or at the very least badly worn ones. A relining won't sort that out I'm afraid.

Try Walldonway TVR in Rochester.

They were the only people had them in stock when I tried, and I got the impression that they were pretty good at keeping stocks up.

The spares guy is Keith, very helpful.

I brought a clutch only two weeks ago from Christopher Neil sports cars in Northwich Cheshire. I know they had another one on the shelf when I purchased mine.

Worth a try.

I had the same trouble as you mate, couldn't find one anywhere!! But managed to get one from TVR POWER last week so it's worth giving them a try!!

Is the Clutch situation as bad as it sounds?

Just how many are left in circulation?
I take it that no-one is making them anymore, or is it just that there aren't many making them?

A bit worrying for those considering a Cerb isnt it?

See my earlier post - this isn't just Cerbera clutches, but all modern TVRs.....
