In light of this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=196918&f=13&h=0

...and after a conversation with Jelly this lunchtime, does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the chassis rails under the bonnet of a Tuscan SP6?

Does no Tuscan owner user look under the bonnet!

They go wrong often enough.

Whitey - I'll see you at yours with my tape measure!

In the short time I had mine before it went pop I looked under the bonnet a few times, but not with the intent of measuring up for an alternative lump. As the S6 is a narrow low slung motor with dry sump, I would doubt a C5/6 Vette V8 would slip in. If it can be engineered to fit I suspect the bonnet section will need cut outs in it to accomodate the V formation at the cam covers extremeties. Would certainly leave no onlooker under any misapprehention that it had been seriously modified. I am interested to see what comes of this....hope you post the dimmensions and the fit feasbility.
