Octopus recipes
Discussion
When I've got octopus tentacles, I tend to do it Galician style which is basically boiled octopus sliced into chunky rings, and then served with olive oil, paprika and sea salt. I tend to mix some paprika (you can use sweet, normal or spicy or a mix) into the olive oil and then drizzle it over the octopus, and then sprinkle salt on top. Traditionally it's served on slices of potato, but I don't like potatoes so I do them just like that cold and serve with a cocktail stick.
For a slightly different experience, you can heat up a grill pan super hot with a little oil and let the octopus tentacles sit in there until they have char marks. It makes the hot and delicious, then treat as before. You can also add a hint of garlic to the olive oil before serving but I'm a garlic lover and it's not traditional.
Google Galician octopus, Pulpo a la Gallega, or Pulpo a la Feria.
Or slice thinly and eat as Tako sashimi with a touch of soy sauce.

Skip the first step and fire up the BBQ, did something similar to this last (or possibly previous!) summer as a starter.
