Bit of a plug here, but:

A friend of mine bought a broken Lotus Esprit SE Turbo many moons ago. He's now started a project to turn it into a road-legal copy of the Esprit GT2. And he's not doing it by halves, the body and chassis are 20 miles apart at the moment! He's also 3D scanning and modelling the whole car while he does it, and doing a bunch of simulated tests to see where the weak points are and what the mods will do. If it sounds interesting, check it out. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjWTWmAUklE...

Is that Jonathan? Is this the same project he started some 10-15 years ago or is it a new one?

I think he bought it in 2006. Can't remember when it was first posited or started, but it's been a long while coming. Other projects have completed and he's really on it now though.

Episode 3 is going to drop in about an hour.
