Slightly different question here over PCs. I need to help my mother replace her desktop. While she does not need any real power from a gaming perspective she does do some graphical work from time to time and so I'll be looking for one with a graphics card, not gaming level, but with a little grunt. Problem for me is the places I would look just sell high and and gaming PCs else just components (I want a shop built with warranty, not me having to travel 200 miles each way to fix things). I have been looking at the Dell outlet but anyone got any decent recommendations for where else I could look ?

It's basically Lenovo, HP, and Dell. All about the same.

Ebay - Ex corporate Dell optiplex unit such as:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363695149270?hash=item5...

They just work, set her up with microsoft account, one drive etc, lock it down and install teamviewer remote.

Often the PSU doesn't have enough grunt for a GPU and the chassis not really enough space.

OP - does the graphics app they use offer that meaningful a level of GPU acceleration with a Nvidia or AMD card vs Intel on board that it is worth the hassle/cost?

CPU for photoshop, so don't bother with a discrete graphics card.

Just get something with a decent CPU in it.
